The project is expected to completely change travel patterns of Riyadh, from a mobility almost entirely based on the private vehicle to a distribution comparable to the major world cities.

In this context, Diadro carried out the study to analyze the future demand for the new public transport network, and especially the metro network.

A model was developed in EMME, so that the most relevant results for the dimensioning of the elements of the subway could be obtain: demand information per station and periods, transfers through metro lines, transfers to the bus network, dimensioning of rolling stock, etc.
