Route 160 connects Concepcion region with the southern department of Bio-Bio in Chile, one of the most important wood production area in the country.

The administration launched a bid for the improvement and commercial exploitation of the road by a concessionaire, who will earn in return the toll pay by drivers for its use.

An audit of the traffic and revenue studies was conducted for its  presentation to the banks interested in financing the project.
